Speed Workouts
How do you run? While running listen to your feet and how they hit the ground. A good turn-over you are going heel to toe and not making a slap sound on the pavement. If you are sprinting or picking up the pace you need to get on your toes. At the end of every run I force myself to pick up the pace and stay on my toes which increases my turnover. The best way to increase your speed is to work on it. Pump those arms and focus on something in front of you and get there.

It took me awhile after college to not run on my toes due to running on them all the time for 400H's, I got that pat down. At the end of my long runs I have it where there are points in my courses where I pick up the paces gradually thinking it being an 800 to a 400 then so on and so forth.
I'm just looking for any track workouts (sprint mostly) that anyone does to just do something different. It being repeats, form..I don't know. Anything I guess.
A lot of speed workouts are designed to be done on the track or the flats. Some will disagree with me on this, but I think that hill repeats are the best way to develop speed. Running uphill will develop power and enable you to get comfortable with a smooth, high turnover. The return downhill will teach your legs to respond to high speeds, and you will be forced to open up your hips, control your stride, and keep your form in check. The key is to maintain cadence and form, then adjust your pace and stride length accordingly. In hill repeats, you're putting more emphasis on fundamentals, all of which come into play when you're running on the flats and rollers. The incidental benefit is that you'll become faster on the hills, a place where most people tend to either push too hard or abandon their pace.
This is what I am suppose to do today (after 4600m swim in the morning) :
Course sur piste: E3-S2
15 min E1
Éducatif (A-B)
5 x 100 m prog
5 x 200 m S2 R 1 min
3 x (1000 m E3 brok (200 R20, 400 R30, 200 S2) R 3 minutes
But I don't think there will be other track training again this year :S Hope you get your speed back, I might have other workout if you PM me (they're in French, but simple to understand :P).

This is coming from a sprinter mind you...I've lost the sprint in me. It's depressing...
I've done some speed workouts with my TNT group and boy was I lousy with it but did what was needed to be done and it was ugly in the end. Ha!
My question is for everyone and I know there is probably a forum out there already like this but can I get some ideas on some workouts? Again my turnover is horrible and with no speed-it's sad. I'm trying to workout a plan for myself and my idea is to get on the track when I can to work on it.
Any ideas, new and experienced, or if there is a forum already on this...send away!
Thanks everyone!
