Sounds like your motivation factor might increase your speed more than the new wheels. Very nice gift. I'm not sure if I can afford 808's in my dreams.

It's too bad my parents don't know what Zipp wheels are. They don't know anything about tri stuff, so they don't buy me anything because they want to make sure I get exactly what I want.
Anyway, nice gift! I hope you enjoy it when you are flying past people at CdA!!

Is your Dad adopting? I'm a little old but I'm successful and I'd let him brag about me? It might be a little strange that he and I are probably the same age, but I don't really mind.

I know you will be tempted to sleep with them, but try to resist it.
You may however prop them up opposite your bed so that you can open your eyes just a little now and then, to reassure yourself that it really happened.
Now, train lots and ride really, really fast.

So I am 23 years old am married and have a 1 year old son. I am also training for ironman cd'a. Lets just say my budget can only afford to ride zipp wheels when I am dreaming and unfortunately I wake up to my normal stock clincher wheel set every morning. Well today my dad decided that with how dedicated I have been with my training he would surprise me and buy me some zipp wheels! So today he met me at the local shop to present me with new 808's. I just about passed out. I also thought of the fact that my bike is now worth more than my subaru :)
