Anyone planning on competing in the Chesapeakman Ultra Triathlong (Ironman Distance) in September? I was just thinking that since I hadnt gotten into a good enough training regimin for some mid June/July HIM's, I might as well concentrate on an Ironman distance race. AND it is exactly a 20 week program from this week, so I am gonna sign I think. Sorry about the long post.....

Hey there! My husband and I are signing up for the ChesapeakeMan AquaVelo...he's doing IM Florida seven weeks later and it will be a good training day for him plus a major jump in distance for me.

Great race. Great organization. Did it last year and hopefully will do it again in 2009. You can search for some threads to get an idea of the course and experience. Good luck.

The ChessieMan was a great race. Less than 300 competitors. Vigo is a really good race director. It is a flat course and can be a little windy. The water was very choppy last year and was a rough swim. Great support. My wife volunteered and had a great time too!

Nothing to it, but to do it
