Does anyone have experience with the Profile Alumin X cockpit? The reason I ask is that Nashbar is selling them this weekend at a 70% discount ($50, from $180 retail). It's an aluminum base bar with L-style carbon clip-ons. As far as I can tell, the clip-on brackets mount to the wing part of the base bar ... meaning that it probably wouldn't accept the round clip-on bracket styles. I've been looking into an aero base bar to mount my T2's onto, but it appears as though the Alumin X cockpit can be had for less than most base bars.

I saw that, my only issue is it has a 31.8 clamp.

I have this exact set up and you can't go wrong. Simple set-up, nothing to0 fancy, but infinite adjustment is key. Also, since bullhors are aluminum, post-crashes you can bend back in place.

Sizing?
40, 42, 44 cm base bar = width of bullhorns. Wider for wider shoulder-ed rider.
31.8 clamp = diameter of bullhorn for stem, I believe.

Ah width is the second size, that makes sense. Thanks. Might have to pick these up after Bush stimulates my checking account...

Just ordered the 44cm.

I'm taking my old as the heavens bike to the bike shop once I get these to get fitted to them.
