Running with gloves???
Could be personal preference.
Maybe they want to control their body temp.
or they could be fanatical germophobes!! ;-)

I've seen latex gloves (surgical gloves) worn and then filled with ice. I've thought about trying that.
These people are probably prone to falling down and without the added padding of visceral fat any trauma could cause unsightly bruising. Just a theory.
With so many sweaty bodies around, I think the gloves are meant to prevent contact with other runners????
Maybe they are a Doctor just off duty?

I sometimes get cold fingers while running, especially my pinkies- even on warm summer days. I've never had any other symptoms of a circulation problem, so I would imagine people who actually have circulation problems could suffer from cold hands on long runs.

LOL, I also heard they increase your aerodynamic profile by .0000012234 seconds per mile.

Actually it increases it by .0000012324 but only if you are a left handed and running South of the equator, in an Easterly direction, with a relative humidity of 77% and a barometric pressure reading of 101.325 kPa.
At Sea Level of course.
Otherwise you are correct. ;-)

At least they aren't doing the Michael Jackson and wearing only one glove!

Please explain why people run long distances wearing gloves - when it's warm out???
