Did anybody record the 2007 Ironman 70.3 World Championship (Clearwater, FL) onto DVD or their computer who could possibly put that up and seed it as a torrent? Or just send it over to me via email, or put it up on some hosting site where I can download it?
I missed it on NBC today and really wanted to see it.
Thanks very much.

If you have Toast Titanium 8, you can put stuff from your tivo onto your computer. I'm sure there is plenty of other software to do it with, but I'm just familiar with Toast.

mr. diva might have a clue. the diva wants to watch it again before bed. i've created a monster - and she's going to be taller than me so she won't get my hand me downs.

Sorry - I'll have to delete mine. My 4 year old watched it last night, and said 'Andy Potts is handsome'. She's right, but I'm not ready for that or 'what's flomax?'

If you don't like the flomax ads, then especially don't watch golf of TV. That's probably my favorite sport to watch, and all they ever have are flomax and anti-ED drug commercials. It makes me feel pretty old (I'm 24).

chunkyb, you were probably watching the masters then, this weekend. i don't know why, but there's something interesting in watching the best of the best self destruct. i don't wish them ill will, but it is entertaining - and no one gets hurt. the flow max ads were a killer, and listening to a 4yo sing 'viva viagra' is kinda frightening. funny but frightening.

Man, those Viva Viagra ads kill me. I wonder if Elvis would endorse those ads.

Yeah, I've been a mild Immelman fan for a while, so I was really happy that he won, but I still find myself rooting for Tiger all the time. I usually don't like rooting for the favorite, but there's something about Tiger. He's so intense and just freaking good. It's funny too because they whole time they're saying "well, if Tiger had just made this putt and this putt, he would be in it", but that kind of applies to a lot of the field. Anyways, I think we can all agree that golf is the next best sport to triathlon.

If by next best you mean not even close - then sure!

I'll say it again. I think we can all agree that golf is the next best sport to triathlon. There will be no further discussion on the topic.

Okay you are right - I do like hitting that little brightly colored ball through the windmill and then banking it into the cup. That is fun! :)

I could have a party, and you guys could all come over and watch it on the big screen. Then we could play golf in the corn field.

Regarding the 70.3 world championships, don't you have to qualify? I ask this because NBC profiled the woman who finished last. She completed the race in around 8 hours.

That's what lottery spots are for. There are plenty of people who race in Kona who can't make the time cutoffs, and she made the cutoffs.

Quote from a training buddy of mine as we rode past a golf course on one of our 100 mile rides. "Who would want to spend 5 hours a day just wandering around a golf course?"

irony?
