Just wondering if any TFers won a lottery spot for Kona. I just saw the list on NBC, but maybe that's not the first time they've announced it. Anyways, let's hear who got lucky.

I got one! Pretty unbelievable. I was watching the 70.3 on TV but my kids wanted to play so i stopped half way through and let it TIVO. My wife and I went out with some friends later on when a buddy sent me a TXT mssg saying "Congratulations on Kona!"...I was in shock....when I got home, there my name was on NBC..still in shock....now I need to get in gear!!!

That's awesome. What a story. Good luck with the training. Hopefully we'll see you on NBC (you gotta make up some story about overcoming impossible odds).

LOL!!!

Are you allowed to say beeyotch on network TV? That would be awesome to hear the narrator try to follow up that comment with something like "that just goes to show you, you can learn a lot about life on the big island of Hawaii, beeyotch".

Congrats macker! Bonus points for getting an announcer to say "beeyotch" or official pics with someone holding a sign with it :-P

Congrats. I almost signed up for a chance at a lottery spot and decided that the odds against outwayed the amount of money I was going to have to plunk down. Now that I feel like I somewhat know someone who actually won a spot, I will probably break down and register next year.

Just tell them you used to weigh 400 pounds or you have scoliosis or something to get some face time, and then drop some Trifuel gang signs on 'em.

Honestly though, congrats. To get the chance to do such a once-in-a-lifetime thing (for most of us) is pretty amazing. We'll be cheering for you.
