PlayTri Festival
Good luck on the race!
(which you've probably already started and are half way through by now)
Yeah good luck to you man! I was supposed to do the relay with my Uncle today and then the Olympic distance tomorrow but it didn't pan out financially =(

Base 1 (Week 2, 16.5hrs)
Check out my blog!
I did the Sprint. My roommate was so far out in front that the course workers were not expecting him and he turned around where it said "turn around" but it was the 2 mile fun run turn around. So thanks to him, I got 10th overall after he got DQ'ed. He said next time he would look at the course map first. They didn't even post his splits, they just erased him from the results.
It was pretty funny hearing the announcer make a big deal about him before the race... "Ohhhh, I see 'so and so' is here, this should be interesting, he is a really fast swimmer, biker and runner." He would have won by more than a minute or 2
Glad I had my wetsuit! All in all it was a great, fun, very short race. Could have had a little better organization though.
And what's the deal starting the women 5 minutes before the men? I started catching women before the turnaround, and of course swimming over them as they weave back and forth. I feel bad that the poorer swimmers at the back are the ones i push underwater while they are already struggling.
Craig... did you beat me by 16 seconds? What other races are you doing this year? My next ones are the 'Old College Tri' then Buffalo Springs Oly, and CapTexTri i think
yeah man! i got 9th overall! ha. i think i know exactly who you are. was your buddy the guy with blonde curly hair looking frustrated at the awards?
i was wearing a hammer nutrition top.
we were wondering what happened. i figured something had got messed up and he turned around at that point.
Im doing the sprint in McKinny on the 27th. and hopefully that buffalo springs oly.
i need to look into the old college tri too.
wheres your hometown?
the results are posted.. sure enough we're right there. for some reason you aren't on the age group listing though. Its pretty cool the two of us and damiano were within 2 mins of each other.
Yeah, i remember you passing me right before the second aid station I think.
I am not in the 25-59 AG because I raced clydesdale. I weigh 230 and my run just suffers because of it, so to build my ego I like to win the clydes class by 8 minutes. just kidding.
That Damiano guy can run for such a short guy.
This was my second tri ever also, pretty good showing for both of us.
I am over in Dallas by White Rock Lake.

Well, my first race of the season is tomorrow. I'm pretty excited, and nervous since it's only my second race ever. I feel ready to go though.
Anybody else in the north texas area doing the playtri festival?
