sweet man, good luck and have fun.
good luck, i'll be having the same the same jitters tomorrow. but no worries about the cold, it'll be 83.
Hope your races went better than mine this weekend. When I got back yesterday I slept from 11am to 8pm, then again from 11pm to 8am. Getting sick really holds back the training. Today I was supposed to do a 22 mile run, and I made is 7.25.
How did the race go?
The Outdoor Journey: Exploring the multisport life through the crucible of endurance
Let me know how that race went. I love Gatlinburg so an excuse to make it down there again would be awesome. (lol)
zcowgirl,
its a small affair but growing.
the nice thing is that its early in the year to get in some competitiveness while staying low key.... which to me means not worrying a lot about the results and being able to more clearly see where i am in training.
since i live here it is great because so few of this type of event exists here and it definitely should

Up early, first race of the year (second ever) in 3 hours, The Gatlinburg Gateway sprint In Gatlinburg TN. I asked earlier about clothes for low temps. I am excited to say that it will NOT be in the 40's as predicted. Low fifties instead. However, a weather front moved through later than expected and we have 70% chance of showers- it's raining now. I think it will make the whole thing more fun but i wish it were a little warmer. Not sure what to do with my transition area as far as keeping things dry, guess it doesn't matter since it will all be wet anyway.
Time to begin fueling... see you when I get back!
