Not sure if netflix has it but "What it Takes" is an amazing movie about preparing for an Ironman.
Also, what cycling movies do you have in your queue's.
thanks
Sorry. I guess I should have mentioned which ones I already have. It's a pretty long list, but here goes:
All the Tour de France videos available
The Flying Scotsman
Hell on Wheels
Chariots of Fire
Lance Armstrong: Racing For His Life
Breaking Away
American Flyers
Without Limits
Prefontaine
Running Brave
Four Minutes
Swimming Upstream
The Hard Road
Quicksilver
2 Seconds
As you can see, I already have a ton of cycling movies, but I would love some running movies (especially documentary-type) or tri movies. Thanks for the responses. Keep them coming.

yeah, pretty much all you need is chariots of fire
and i think angelina jolie runs a bit "gone in 60 seconds"
It is better to hurt from doing something than from doing nothing...
First Triathlon (400m/20k/2.75mile) 1:39.15 including 33 minutes in the water
So I just signed up for Netflix . . .
SPAM! Nah, I love Netflix too. These aren't swim/bike/run movies, but I totally recommend you make your way through the American Film Institute Top 100. After just a few, you will swear off forever the mass market formula drivel. And since you are obviously a forum whore, Netflix also has an active online community.
On the Edge - older running movie that sucks until it gets to the trail race then it's pretty cool
Check out the film 24 hour. It is about Chris Eatough the 24 hour endurance mountain bike racer. Awesome movie, impressive footage, I own this one and watch it alot!

Rad.
It's about some kids racing BMX. I think one does a back flip.
"Faster would be better!" -Captain Mal, Serenity-
On a more serious note, while I was out of town on business I saw the end of a movie about some guy swimming the english channel. Looked pretty cool. I heard that fewer people have swam the english channel than have summitted mount everest.

I haven't watched it, but a friend just yesterday recommended "Saint Ralph"
Synopsis from IMDB: Set in Hamilton in 1954, Saint Ralph is the unlikely story of Ralph Walker, a ninth grader who outran everyone's expectations except his own in his bold quest to win the Boston Marathon. Ralph is a fatherless 14-year-old with a seriously ill mother, who knows he's a time bomb waiting to explode into greatness, except that he has no idea where that greatness will manifest itself. An unfortunate incident of self-abuse in the community pool inadvertently sets him on this road when, as penance, Ralph is conscripted to the cross-country team. Desperate to believe a miracle will bring his mother out of a coma, Ralph becomes a convert to the church of running, and determines to win the Boston Marathon.

There's a movie called "Cutters" that is pretty decent. It's about a small town bike race that has been dominated by the University students over the years. The locals are seen as second class citizens by the students so a couple of guys attempt to take their race from them. Not entirely about cycling and it has some bad acting, but a descent movie.
I found netflix to be a little limited on the running and tri side of things. Lots of cycling movies, Don't forget the Giro de Italia series.

Do you mean "Breaking Away"? Man if you guys haven't seen that movie, you can't call yourselves bikies! ;)

That's probably the correct name. I'm an IDIOT. It's a good thing I'm sooooo good looking though.

I recently rented "Running on the Sun" from Netflix. This is a documentary on the Badwater ultra. If you have any interest in ultra running, the film is pretty well done. The added bonus of this film is that the "foot montage" will surely turn your stomach (you can imagine what some of the athelete's feet look like after running through the Mojave in the summer).

I seem to recall that "Meatballs" has a cross-country race towards the end...

The scene in that movie where the main character kid jumps out on the interstate and does like 60 MPH drafting behind this semi for what the movie made you think was a 50 mile distance without a helmet - good times - good times!!!

...In the small chainring!! What a man!
If you watch the youtube clip stewarba posted, which of course you have to, about 2min in when he is drafting doing 60, they show a shot of his crank. Look close and you'll see he is in his small chainring. Guess the continuity guys missed that one. Overall awesome movie though.
Hmm this kind of sucks a while ago I switched from NetFlixs to blockbuster's equivalent (since I like the movie trade in program) but while they have the majority of these movies they don't have any of the TDF of GDI series of videos which I would really like to watch... hmm stupid blockbuster.

So I just signed up for Netflix, and I'm looking for any kind of triathlon or running movies that might be worth getting. I already have a million cycling movies in my queue, but I'd love to get some running movies, and especially some triathlon movies. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?
