hit and run - but no crash!
Glad you're OK. Sorry to hear about the bike shorts. Unbelievable how rotten a few people are.
Glad you are ok!
As a sidenote on characterizing the driver... the only "hit and run" I have ever been in was a biker hitting me as I was running. Not only that, but a biker out on a final ride in the days leading up to IM Kona this year. So that is now what I think of when someone does something stupid. It could be one of us...

Dang. Glad no serious damage. Can be scary out there. Had a guy in a pickup with a dog in the back come far too close to me today. Never let the guard down...
Very lucky.
A friend of mine got clipped by a side mirror in the back of the head - luckily wearing a helmet - knocked unconscious on a remote road - estimated that he was down for over 1/2 and hour before someone stopped to help him.
Glad you weren't injured any worse.
And no bike damage Phew!

Didn't stop? Not surprised. I'm sure as he buzzed you, he was thinking, "You deserve THIS!" Totally feel for you.
Really glad you're ok, Leroy.

Always hate to hear stories like this.... Glad that you are doing fine. Sorry to hear about the shorts too...
Glad to hear you are OK. I have been clipped by the mirrors on a truck that have the tandem rear wheels before as well. Destroyed my training ride, luckily it was an older bike. Luckly I was clipped as he was towing a trailer and that would of hurt ever more with the sharp metal edges. Like you, he did not stop, but traffic lights do have some great uses, and one of our group members sprinted after the truck and managed to get the tag and get the police involved. I was rather bruised as I hit the grassed side of the road at over 23 mph and even more lucky my pedals unclipped on the first impact. Bike not so lucky. Bottom line was that my wife and son got to see me come home that day and the guy was charged with hit and run.
Glad to hear you're ok and simply worse for wear with a rip in the shorts. Too often worse happens.

Everyone take note that the first thing they should do in/after an accident is take a mental snapshot of the make/model and LIC NUMBER! Easier said than done, but if you plan in advance you can grab all that visual info even before you hit the ground (I know, I've been hit before). There are too many stories of one or two drivers being picked off in a crowd of 10 and nobody had the sense to look at the plate.
Greatness is only achieved by those who perpetually raise the expectations of themselves to the point where it ruins their life.

Same thing happened to me, the SUV had a large dog in the back with the windows down and as he passed that Dog barked at me from only about 2 feet away. I nearly jumped out of my skin!
Glad your OK!!

Great day for a ride... until 2 miles from home I got tagged by the side mirror of a pick up truck. Bruised my back and something on his trailer cut the cushy part of my kiester.
Amazingly I didn't even fall. But the jerk kept going. I can only assume that the driver was a communist and a drug dealer (possibly a child predator too, I didn't get a close look) because no one else would do such a thing. A nice couple stopped to check on me, called the cops, and the husband even tried to chase the guy down! (no luck) After having an ambulance, fire truck, and police cruiser respond I just rode home.
I'm super thankful to be alive, but I just bought those bibs for $135! Now my rear end peeks out. They've been retired to trainer rides only.
