Hey!

Apart from my last post which resulted in a lot of helpful "heat", I am back, posting again, in regards to my first race of the season.

I was wondering who else is doing

St.Anthony's in St.Pete April 27th :D?

I'm signed up as should anyone who is doing it as it is sold out, and looks to be a great race. I'm racing in the 16 yr old age bracket, and apart from sprint races, this is my first olympic distance. I'm going for a 7:30 avg on the mile and 23-24mph on the bike. I am a horrible swimmer so just finishing that part is the plan :D, no time regard.

Hit me up here if your doing :D maybe we can all meet or something!

I'll be there as well and am going for 2:15 - 2:45. I'm going off with my age group but am doing this race for the second time with Team In Training. Can't wait.

No way, advertising within a thread...a new low.

I'd love to be doing tris in Florida in april, but I have a 1/2 marathon that weekend, so I'm not too jealous.

Yeah Tribro did post a thread. I dont know why people think this is going to help. Everyone on this site purposely boycotts sites that advertise like that.

Anyway...good luck with your race Kwschs.

Help me raise money for the LAF by donating anything that you can. Thank you so much!

2:15 is what I'm going for but up to 2:45 is what I can be happy with given unforeseen events like flats, accidents, rain, sever wind/heat, and such. It's a mental game I play and a way to remember that no matter how prepared physically and mentally, there are always things that are out of our control.

It's usually a 30 minute range that increases to an hour at HIM distance. I've never done a sprint and have no idea what would be a goal time would be.

Makes sense...I usually just set a goal time, then use the unforseen events to be excuses to finishing worse

Did this one two years ago, and once was enough! It sells out within minutes and you'll see why in April. Its VERY crowded...so beware as you're biking on the small (some cobblestone) streets of St. Pete. My swim wave was the last to start...I had to wait like two hours in the cold wind. By then the waves were huge and many people had problems and got pulled out. I nearly got knocked over by the wind on the bike because I had on Zipps. Fun fun! Oh, and there's a wave just for Team in Training....mostly all newbies, so steer clear of the purple jerseys!!!

It was worth the effort at least once. The expo is fab! You'll see lots of pros and excellent athletes. Good luck to you guys and have fun!!!
