I never watch hoops until March, but I love hoops in March. Only problem is I'll have to let my wife fill a bracket out also. If she finds out that I did this without her knowing, it would not be good for me.
At least this year when she puts Xavier in the final four, they have a number 3 next to them. She would put them there if they were a 15 or 16 seed...

Alright, it's up and running...I made a pick'em league on yahoo. You need a yahoo account to join. The easiest way to get to it is look for fantasy sports...then goto Tourney pick'em '08. Then join a private group.
Group name: trifuel
password: trifuel
pretty simple...please name your team your TF tag so you can be easily recognized. Family members/significant others can join too. The more the merrier, especially with it being low stakes. Everyone have fun

Games start tommorrow...just a reminder, so try to get them in by tommorrow morning if you're entering...last check there were 13 brackets. I'm excited already, I even watched part of the play-in game.
I should have probably just went up the road 40 minutes and attended the game, it's actually pretty fun considering the relative low quality of bball being played. I sold programs at the PI game 2 years ago

I actually tried to put a handheld miniTV on my aero bars so I could watch and ride, but then I realized what a bad, bad idea that was. so i think I'll just be on the trainer in front of the tv. good luck to all brackateers.

Last time I checked, it's still a 2 or three person competition, going to come down to the wire.
I, meanwhile will be spectating as 1 game caused my bracket to nose-dive. I went from 3rd to 8th in a matter of seconds...so sad

Your right, my bad! I'm pretty excited about this weekend coming up. My wife and daughter are going to New York for a school trip, so I'm home alone. I have a 10K in the morning and then get to veg out on basketball that evening with an organized ride Sunday morning - sweet!

I haven't been able to get to it to see the final positions, I'm assuming my fiance won based on what I know of her bracket, but haven't confirmed it yet...Kansas winning probably boosted me back into the top 5 or 6 I would guess

Yes...my apartment took 2 of the top 3 spots...looks like we are clearly the champions. (notice my latching onto my fiance's success for bragging rights) Now I will gloat.
BTW, she will tell you this herself in a much angrier way, but I was supposed to enter her bracket (exactly as it was in our comp) into my parents work bracket where she would have most certainly finished in the money....but, I dropped the ball. So, we lost out on some money, oops.
Alright, I know we are all triathletes here and with jobs and family few of us have time to sit and watch any TV at all. But seeing as how most of us are living in the US, I'd have to imagine there are some other college basketball fans out there. I for one am borderline fanatic.
That being said...I am addicted to tourney time and brackets and all that jazz. I was wondering if there would be any interest in doing a tourney pool just for kicks with some members of the trifuel community. There would be nothing on the line except bragging rights of course, which is motivation enough for me and I'd imagine for many of you since we all crave competition to some extent. We can fill out online brackets at yahoo, or espn, or whatever, but it shouldn't be hard to pull off.
I am at work right now, so am unable to start something up, but will do so tonight if there is any interest. I'd imagine everyone would name their bracket after thier trifuel tag so we'd know who was who. Also, if anyone does have the ability and motivation to take the lead on this, go for it since I will be unable to act until tonight.
Anyways, I'm just putting the feelers out there to see if there is interest and if not, then oh well.
