Im looking to upgrade my current stock aero bar setup for something a little lighter (obviously cooler) and more comfortable. The owner of my LBS has the Oval Concepts A901 set up on his bike that he built for this season and in his indoor sessions he says he loves the way they feel. Im steering toward them because of the adjustability in the arm rests (i can move them farther out on the basebar) to make my elbows to hands a little more triangular, thus keeping my hands closer together. My question is has anyone ever used or know someone whos used a setup like this on the road for training rides or in longer races, OLY/HIM, and what are you thoughts? Thanks in advance.....

I have never used them, but have heard good things about them. I was going to get a pair for my bike but got a good deal on a different setup.

I had a question about why you would want to move your elbows further apart so that you could have your hands closer together. One of the big aerodynamic advantages of aerobars is that they get you elbows in and reduce your frontal area.

Sorry, didnt make that clear. Its not so much moving them farther away from each other but being able to rotate them so i can put my hands closer together. With my hands closer together and slightly elevated Im more efficient and am able to generate more power longer.

I have the 701 w/ the carbon s-bend extensions and love them. You can dial these things in however you want them. I was going to buy the 901's but I can live without the carbon base bar and save alot of $$$$$ that I can apply to other new upgrades.
