Wetsuit Fit Question
Now... don't go chopping things up before you get some sort of consensus on this...
But, I think that you should just be able to cut the wetsuit to fit where you want it to start. In other words, remove the loose portion of the wetsuit. I know that the stuff that came with my 2xU wetsuit said that I could cut the legs to whatever length I wanted, so I assume there is a way to make this work for the arms as well.
I know there was a thread on here not too long ago about wetsuit alterations... Maybe that would help?
It sounds like you're going to create a lot of drag in the water. I would call the manufacturer and ask them what you should. I know people cut their wetsuits all the time so I'm sure it can be done. At Sports Basement and various other places they sell wetsuit glue. I've used the stuff, it works great. If you do happen to score it the wrong way, this bail you out.

I bought my first wetsuit a couple of weeks ago. It is a full body and fits great - tight but not too tight, does not restrict upper body movement, and there are no gaps to collect water. However, the wrist openings are not snug against my skin (I have small wrists). There is perhaps a one to two millimeter gap between the skin and the wetsuit. The arms begin to get tight on my forearms, about two inches above the wrist openings - So here are my questions:
1. Is not being snug against the skin going to allow too much water to enter, even though I don't know where it will go?
2. Is there a way to better seal the wrist openings? Perhaps fold back the suit at the wrists?
OR am I looking into this too much, it is not that big of a deal, and I should just go swim.
Thanks in advance.
