o.k. Let's see what everyone is riding. Post your bike in the photo gallery and tag it with "my bike". I roll up a page pulling out those bikes as we get a bunch posted. Want to see what everyone is riding. Just posted a couple pics of my Trek.

Will do in 2 weeks when I get back to school. I just got a new Orbea Ora a few weeks ago and BEAST! is amazing :-) I just need to get out there and practice my u-turns - you really can't scream through them like you can on a roadie. The deal with myself was 'qualify for worlds, get a tri bike'. Did it, got one.

Sweet ride Tribro. I remember when you posted the frame a while ago. I went to our Trek dealer about getting a TTX carbon frame as I've upgraded everything on my aluminum Trek and wanted just the frame. How did you come about to get the frame only?

After what I went through with my Trek dealer I thought you might have had some 'inside' help. Basically I was told for example I could get the TTX 9.0 Frame for $2,700, or the whole bike for around $2,900. Apparently Trek doesn't like to sell frames only, according to the dealer.

Ya. it was end of season and it's last years TTX 9.5. Not sure how they are doing it this year. The 9.0 is new but i think the frames are the same and it the components that differ, might be why the pricing is so negligible. My frame was about the same but the option to buy the full was low $4,000 so opted just frame and transfer some components over.

I like this idea. I have been meaning to take some photos of my bike for an aerobar-related blog post that I've been working on. I'll try to do it tomorrow on my rest day. I'm going to be re-doing the cable routing on it pretty soon too, but I don't think I'll wait for that to post my photos.
For now I uploaded my fixie. :P

The fixie is way cool. Sounds like you do a lot of the work yourself. You a mechanic or just an self taught enthusiast and tinkerer?

Other than build the wheels (which I was tempted to) and the frame, I built the fixie from the ground up. Fixies are super easy to build, though, unless you're trying to put together whacked out parts, which, well, I was. I can't tell you how hard it was to find a BLACK crankset with the right bolt circle diameter for a chainring guard AND a chainring (also had to be black) that would accommodate a 1/8" chain (not 3/32"). It's a mash up of track, cyclocross and road parts.

But no, I'm not a mechanic, just someone who dives in over my head and then has to hack my way out.

I'm re-doing the cables on my road bike with nokon cables so I can get sleeker routing, which is a new experience, but I think I'm going to take it in to the shop to have everything adjusted because I've had bad luck trying to do that myself. There are some things that really are best left to pros, in my opinion.

Pics posted of my three babes. I need more outside shots, but I got a pic of my tri bike with a new FSA TT chainring on it- it looks cool as hell.

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
