old blogs (or old forum)
hmm... I found an old link to it: http://kyillee.triathlonlife.com
But it looks like they are no longer there. Oh well, not a big deal. I'm just thinking of moving my blog and was going to import from the old ones.
ya. sorry. that one came down long ago. got spammed way to much...
you looking to move to blogger or own site. let me know if you need anything to get the data from the trifuel.net blog.
Yeah, I plan to use blogger and host it on my site. I looked at hosting wordpress there, but blogger sets up so easily.
Do you know of any good way to get the trifuel.net stuff into blogger? From what I've found it sounds like just cut and paste to do it.
cut and paste, like each entry? I haven't gone from wordpress to blogger but I think to go the other way round I could use an rss feed to import. does blogger offer any import options? if they do an rss feed import you can set the rss feed to show all posts and full text to grab that, but again it wouldn't include the comments... or if you want a DB dumb of it PM me.
How do we add our blogs to the TF blog network now? When I try to post to the forum page it doesn't let me.

All set.
Right, going from Blogger to Wordpress isn't too tough since Wordpress has that import feature, but unfortunately Blogger doesn't. A while ago I ran across a thread that talked about going from Wordpress to Blogger - just pulled it up again and below are the 'how-to" sites it mentions. Hope they help :)
Thanks Wil! I will take a look! Yeah, it sucks that blogger doesn't have any easy import. But it is so easy to get on your own site that I might just suck it up and go all manual (unless I find great tips in those articles :))
Wordpress.com allows you to point to your own domain from the subdomain they give you, maybe $30 a year or something like that. Not sure about there import stuff though.
hmm might be worth looking into... but I'm pretty cheap so we'll see ;)

Does anyone still remember the name of the old (pre-trifuel.net) blogs? I am trying to look at some old blog comments. I believe I used to get to that old blog through my trifuel profile in the old forum -- so even a link to the old forum might help me out.
Paul? Are those old blogs even still around?
Thanks!
