So I set a PR at Reagan this year. I went from a 1:32:13 in 2007 to a 1:29:10 two weeks ago. Last year I placed 2nd in my age group. So naturally I was all ready to collect an award this year too. But much to my suprise I finished 6th!!

It was much warmer this year so maybe fewer people were afraid of freezing to death.

And a little props to my buddy Janet Cherobon who easily defended the womens title. Go Janet Go.

QBAnt - how was it?

Congrats on the PR Leroy! Well, for my first 1/2 I was pleased (sort of). I was right on pace at the turn around, 1 hour, but the second half really got me. I finished in 2:11 - 11 minutes over my goal, but all in all I felt great. I've done this race (5K/10K) for the last few years. Two years ago I ran the 5K and finished 3rd in my ag, then last year I ran the 10K and pr'd (56 mins) and came in second in my ag. This year for the 1/2 I was 15/30. Next up is the Silver Comet 10K and the ING half. Hopefully I'll be able to better my time by a coupla minutes. I think I saw you down for the ING, are you doing the Silver Comet as well?

Yeah, I know it's out and back... but I swear the back is longer than the out!

Not doing Silver Comet, just the ING. I'm registered for the half but I've been trianing for the full and need to upgrade.

I think I'm going to jump in with one of the pacing teams. I'm shooting for a sub 3:10, and then I plan to never do another marathon. It's completely about pride and machismo, because I'd really rather ride on Saturdays!
