I'm wondering if any one has any suggestions for a great pair of racing shorts for longer distance races - I'm concerned that the racing shorts I've used for the sprints that I have done are in no way going to be comfortable after 56 miles. Thanks!

I've been very happy with my Pearl Izumi women's tri shorts for IMs.

I have Craft and they worked for me for IM Canada. Nothing will help 100%, you'll still have a sore...um...saddle area.

I like the Zoot Ultra's. Also one of those $15-20 neoprene saddle covers will add a little more cushion to the saddle area.

I have been happy with my zoot and pear izumi's. PERSONALLY I would not recommend any extra cover on the saddle, because for ME less is best. Get a comfortable saddle and train on it and in the same shorts you plan to race in. I use a terry butterfly tri and have had good results along with tri shorts for all my long (100 plus mile) rides.

I like my Oomph Vigor Compression shorts. They've seen me through 2 race seasons and numerous HIMs as well as one full IM. Plan to use them this year for HIM and IM distance races.
