VO2 Testing/Zones
I don't think your max HR changes by 7 bpm in a year. I know my zones will change throughout the year. My HR wants to go higher when I'm doing more speedwork and lower when I'm in base. Back in November when I started base I would do 2.5 hour rides almost every day at maybe 148 HR, but now I'm doing about 138. It'll be back up again in a few months now that I'm starting speed work again.

Not fast enough.
Aged quite a bit is an understatement.....I must be aging in dog years:) The feedback I received from the testing coordinator ranged from 1) Overtraining/ed, 2) Age factor, 3) One positive I was producing more power(watts) at all zones from 2007, 4) get re-tested a few weeks prior to IM LP.

In Jan. 2007 I had AT testing to determine HRM zones, VO2(ml/min), and VO2(ml/kg/min). I used this information as part of my training regime for the two half irons and it served me well. Fast forward to Jan. 2008 and had the same testing and noticed lower numbers for my HRM zones. Refer to the following example:....... 2007 Bike Zone 2 is 132-143HRM and for 2008 is 125-136HRM.......2007 Run Zone 2 is 139-153HRM and for 2008 is 137-149HRM. With my numbers shifting lower does this make me less efficient aerobically or is there some indirect corolation that I am not understanding. Or did I just have an off day. I figured as we got more fit that my HRM range woudl rise and get broader range. Thank you for your time and please advise.
