Beads ~ Have fun! My best friend lives in Rome and she ran the Rome Half Mary yesterday. We're looking at doing the full together next spring. I was in Rome last weekend, and it's gorgeous there this time of year. Have a blast - can't wait for the race report!!!

I am bringing a small camera on the run so I am hoping to get some decent action shots!
Looks like a fast course. My in-laws just spent 10 days in Rome and had a spectacular time. Running along the river is going to be a great way to see the city. Have a great time and good luck.
Scott, have a great time and run well.

I did the La Maratona della Citta di Roma in 2005. Its a GREAT race. Just be ready to run on cobblestones!!! Also, you'll have a hard time getting a signal if you use a GPS device. And don't forget that once you get BACK to the Coliseum you still have to KEEP going for like another two miles or so! In bocca di lupa!!!
OH! Check that! I just looked at the website and it looks like they may have changed the run course. I did it a couple of years ago. Towards the end of the race, you would be running back to the amphitheater, and it looked like you were done! Then the course veered out of the way, and you had another TWO miles to go before the finish! So, just make sure that's not the case!
I will be taking a look at the website for any race updates.
As long as I find the start I'll just follow everybody until I see the finish line! ;-)
Best of luck beads! It sounds like an awesome race.
Arrivederci, i miei amici!!

---------NEWS FLASH-------
ROME (Reuters) - A man was arrested before dawn on Wednesday as he drove his Toyota Celica down the Spanish steps, one of Rome's most popular tourist spots where visitors are usually banned from drinking and singing, let alone driving.
Photographs showed police surrounding the sports car as it neared the bottom of the sweeping 18th-century staircase, almost reaching the Piazza di Spagna.
Police told Italian media the driver was a 40-year-old man from New Jersey, U.S. who had turned left at the Trinita dei Monti church at the top of the staircase, apparently mistaking the steps for a road.
Looking forward to the report. ;)
