Kick me.....
Just got to get into a schedule/routine. I think it's tough for most of us through these colder months. I did IMFL last year and had a coach work up my training plan. That definitely helps, having something concrete to do each day.
here are some videos that kick me in the mouth when i dont feel like running in the snow... hope they work for you!

What are you worried about? You have 252 days left. You can take a few more weeks off. Put on your sweats, rent a bunch of movies and sit on the couch and eat ice cream with the new dog. And the Oscars are about to be announced so there are so many good movies to catch up on! And it is so cold outside, and it is probably going to rain anyways. And you wouldn't want to get your bike dirty. So put the bike in the garage, out of sight. And your knees! Aren't they still store? I think you need more time-off to recover. Your skin and hair are all dried out too from the chlorine in the pool, so no swimming for awhile. Who needs to do Ironman anyways? You don't have anything to prove, so take it easy. You can always get started in a few weeks, maybe a month or so. The race will take care of itself. No one else is training anyways.

I agree with Tribro - I work much better when have a schedule laid out.
And EVERYONE is training - so get to it!

I train so I don't have to look at my log and see blank days last month.
New puppy? You KNEW the job was dangerous when you took it! ;)
Make some workout time for yourself and stop pinning it on the dog. She'll be fine for the time you need to get out the door and get back at it. That's the beauty of dogs...they love you no matter what time you come in the door.
I agree...winter can be tough. I'm having some motivational problems too, especially on the nasty days. Remember...the hardest step is getting out the door. Once you get there, you'll feel much better.

Go! you've got the training partner already! get gone!
That's exactly why I went to Mexico.
I can't wait to get up each morning at first light and jog down the beach in my speedo, goggles in hand, and when I think I've gone far enough I fall in the ocean and swim back to the hotel for a nice strong cup of coffee, put my feet up in the sun and watch the pelicans dive for their breakfast.

Winter training is a snap here.

You cant mention a puppy in a thread and not include pics. There's some kind of rule about that.
Just get out the door. Get moving and it will all fall into place.
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
That Bevan Docherty video revs me up every time! Dang! I want to go running right now!

please. I really need a jump start. Seems like it's been forever since I've done any training, and the less I do the less I feel like doing. I had been riding outside most of the winter and then some crappy weather applied the brakes and I have not been back out.
Also, I got a new puppy in November so I've been racing home to take care of her instead of getting some training in after school. She's 7 months now so I've got about 5 more months before my running partner is ready to run. Can't wait!
So that's it, I need a kick in the pants. IMFL is not gonna get done by itself!
