ChunkyB got me fired up to get the Advanced Details up and running on the site. So now there is a new tab on your user profile page (http://www.trifuel.com/user) labeled "Details". Click this to fill out additional information about yourself. It includes distance focus, skill level, location, etc.

Filling out the details will add you to the "Members Search" pages. This includes a list of members who've filled out details and then a map of members if you added your location.

Note: For U.S. people just adding you zipcode will automatically insert you city. For international, there is a map that you can move around to find your location and then plot your point (or insert long/lat).

List: http://www.trifuel.com/members/list
Map: http://www.trifuel.com/members/map

I plotted some of you from the first thread....

actually working out pretty cool. you can filter the List page and now that some Profiles are filled in you can see stuff like how many are focused on Olympic and with Intermediate experience.

Very cool. I'm not sure about the distance focus part though -- This year my focus is half IM, but most of my experience applies to IM. Seems like that might be hard to communicate with it being a yearly focus. Some kind of "distances completed" and "next A race distance" might be nice.

Cool, thanks. Distance focus is ya for the year. I see many of us that did Ironman last year are doing Half focus this year. I think I'm going to build out a race reports system next so you can archive past races with times and then pull those into a tab on the profile so people can also reference your endurance history so to speak.

i was able to choose two distance by holding control but im not sure how that ends up categorizing me in the system

my only complaint about the system (which is otherwise flawless) is that it confirms that my friend and i are alone in orlando

correction, i now know that if you hold control it will place you in a number of distance categories (I imagine that you can also plase yourself in multiple skill levels as well)

yes. sorry should have explained. that one is multi-choice. figured people could be doing two distances or xterra and road. the members list should filter you in both/all categories you choose under focus.

you'll have to invite some more of your crew from Orlando :) Hopefully it will fill out as more members discover the new feature.

First of all, I'm loving all the new features.

Second of all, I don't know what you did with the member map, but it's the only site that shows up with the actual trifuel logo as the icon, instead of that blue fish thing. If you know what you did differently, maybe go change the other site, because I really like the trifuel logo, mainly because the red stands out more from the default logo on sites that don't have one. Hopefully some part of that made sense.

Wow! That is a really handy and cool feature! It's nice to know where your next potential training partner is located.

Thanks for adding that.
