Welcome to the site and glad to hear your getting into the sport of triathlon. It's good to have a runner on board that can help advise us on some running tips and training. Many struggle getting through that part especially after a long day in the saddle.

Hi! I am a 48 yr old female distance runner. I started running 4 yrs ago and I've since done several half and full marathons with several shorter distances in between...It's my passion!
I also coach high school cross country.
I'm always looking to set the (personal) bar a bit higher. Since I am such a late comer to running, I decided that now is the time to start expanding on my athletic pursuits. I bought my first road bike last summer (Giant OCR2...Love it!) I also have an indoor trainer. I run outdoors year round, but the climate here (northeast PA) keeps my cycling indoors.
Now, swimming...OMG...Mine is pitiful! But I will be focusing in that arena this winter...My goal is to compete in a duathlon and a sprint tri this summer. I plan to build up to the Olympic and Half IM distance for 2006.
I am very happy to be here among my fellow athletes! Please share any and all advice with this tri newbie!
