Hi - I was trying to order replacement Tri Shorts from the company Oomph (www.oomphsports.com) but the email keeps bouncing back - does anyone know if they are still in business as the tri gear they do is great

Thanks

I think you misspelled your username when you registered. I think you meant "scam100".

Or maybe it should be "spam100".

Yep, I think that's the one.

According to THIS, and THIS, info@oomphsports.com seems to be working fine.

Don't know what the problem could be.

Look people, here's the thing... I don't have a problem with you promoting your product on the site. Just say, "I'm making this new product. Check it out, if you like." It's being disingenuous that I (and 99% of TF'ers don't appreciate.

It was an honest question - i live in the UK (where you can't even buy this brand!) and was trying to order a pair of tri shorts to replace ones that i bought 3 years ago in the states

I found out that there are up and running and it was just a dodgy email address.

I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU BUY OR DON'T BUY - it amazes me that you loosers have enough time to respond in such a negative way....................we have an english saying for peiopel like you....

yeah (delivered in my best "office space" boss voice).......

i'm gonna go ahead and stick with my original hypothesis on this one guys.......i was able to google the company find a working email address and set-up an order to the uk in less than 4 minutes......anyone who could set up a tri fuel account could do the same

don't get offended at being called an advertiser.......if that's what you are it really isn't a big deal.........just be open or be better at being covert.......that's all we ask ;)

but either way bro (or sis).....this can all still be polite.....a few scam ads aren't worth the name calling.....nothing going on in these forums is that important

probably because I emailed various names at the company and told them that the email addresses that they had under the Contact Us and Customer Services section weren't working so they updated them

By the way i also own and really like tri and bike shorts by....... 2XU, Sugoi and Assos - available from all good etailers and retailers worldwide.

If its not important why do you waste your energy posting.

not important enough to get personal bro.......very little in life is that important

i think given the setting for your first post some of us had a very understandable first impression, one that I'm not sure i'm abandoning yet

but relax, you know the truth, and you don't have to convince me

I think the general response was completely justified. Usually when someone's been a member for 5 minutes, their first post is something like "hey, I'm new here" or "I'm from this city. Call me if you want to go running" or something to that effect. It looks kind of shady (or dodgy) when someone goes to the trouble of joining just to say "hey, everyone. Go email this small company that none of you have ever heard of. Their stuff is really great". You can't blame us for assuming.

Well I doubt that Scram100 is a poser or they wouldn't have called everyone "loosers", but I have to concur that OP was suspect.

OK - my last words (I can't believe that i can't just let it lie).....

1) If I was promoting a company do you think I would ask the question "are they still in business?" - it is hardly the best PR

2) I am am member of various UK tri forums [same user name] - but these are little use for a US specific question - hence joining this one

3) The questions I posted isn't that strange given that I had just shelved out over $200 on kit and i was getting bounce back emails from the vendor (this email is now fixed)

4) Apologies for losing my cool in earlier post - but I was hoping for a more positive and helpful response from the forum - not abuse such as 'scam' and 'spam' etc

5) Their stuff really is pretty good - especially for longer distance events

Don't respond - get out and go for a run, swim or bike instead :)

enjoy

I understand NOW that you weren't spamming. I was just explaining why it looked like you were spamming. Plus, it's aggravated by the high volume of genuine spam we've been getting lately.

Also, the reason it could be good PR is because we would all go and try the email or whatever and see that it is in business, and then say "hey, they're in business. Maybe I'll buy things from them". The important thing is that we were justified in thinking that it was spam, given the circumstances. I admit that we might have been wrong.

I would get out and go for a run, but I'm stuck at work, and I hate running.

And, yes, that is mega man. One of the greatest video game characters of all time. He, unlike me, loves running.

BOO YAH!!!!

I probably can't keep up with any of you guys in a race, but I'll take you all to school on some "Sweet Child of Mine", or a little bit of "Ziggy Stardust". And, let's not forget "Bark at the Moon". As the comic book guy probably said, "Best Game Ever!".

Oh man, I forgot "Killin in the name". That's one of the best. Interesting editing at the end too.
