I'm new to the group, found it while researching Carbon Wheelsets.

I'm 46, 6'5", 200 pounds, I started racing Sprint Duos last year, and this year I'm moving up to the International Distance.

I'm riding on a GURU RaceLite, with DuraAce components and Kyrsium Elite wheels, and Profile Aerobars.

In the last 3 months, I've cut my 5K time by 2 minutes, and I'v bought a indoor trainer to keep riding the bike over the winter.

Enjoy the Holidays,

Darrell

Awesome, sounds like you've got a good training regimen and are making great progress. Great to have you as a new member to trifuel and I look forward to hearing more about your training and racing. Gotta be pretty cold in OH right now. How much riding do you get to do outdoors vs. the trainer?

Right now, we have 14 inches of snow on the ground, and they've announced a 'Snow Emergencty', which means no vehicles are allowed on the road, otherwise they ticket you. We'expecting another 4-6 inches, and the temps are dropping. Supposedly, by Saturday, the temps will be -10.

I'm kind of a wimp, most of my outdoors riding are when the temps are mid 40's and above. Yesterday, I spent three hours shoveling my driveway, so i didn't ride.

Trying to ride 3 days per week, my biggerst problem is keeping cool while I'm on the trainer.

At least the Greyhounds enjoy the snow!
