I'm headed for a vasectomy soon [it's hard to even type it!]. I'm wondering if anyone has had one and what their recovery was like. How soon were you back on the bike and in the water?

thanks up front...

If you spend more time on the bike and in the (cold) water, can't you skip the surgery? I hear it is a very very quick recovery. Good luck!

Been there done that...no tee shirt, and the scar healed nicely.

Plan on a month for total recovery. About a week of soreness, followed by a few weeks of " I felt pretty good until my daughter jumped into my arms." I am sure your doc mentioned this, but if you wear boxers, this is the time for briefs.

I will be having Lazer Eye correction surgery in about 2 months. I expect to miss three weeks from that.

what kind of laser surgery are you having? if it is the regular lasik procedure the down time is very minimal. i had the lasec procedure (due to my thin corneas) and the recovery was much more involved. if you are having something else done i cannot comment on the recovery.

good to know about the kid-impact factor...was riding the bike ok (barring significant bumps, etc)?

thanks!
