Did you see the marathon movie? Thoughts, reviews, comments—put them here.

Personally, I thought it was an amazingly well done movie. It definitely inspired me to sign up, and do my next marathon!

please say it wasn't just someone running for 2 hours

I watched a few ironman triathlons on tv (channel espn 476 or something ridiculous like that) and even though they edited it down to an hour it was already getting boring......but it did drive home one major thing for me, they are all in better shape than me and i need to get to work

27 year olds should know what their abs look like, and i don't

It is better to hurt from doing something than from doing nothing...

First Triathlon (400m/20k/2.75mile) 1:39.15 including 33 minutes in the water

I thought it was really well done also. I liked the emphasis on the everyday road warrior. they put in just enough about the elites to make them human which was very refreshing.

Great movie. i would recommend everyone who did not see it to sign up for the encore presentation. i believe it is Feb 21st.

I thought it was really good. Similar to 'What it Takes' in format, except it followed both pros and AG. The crowd didn't have any popcorn and no sodas. I thought that was funny.

I thought it was quite good as well. Unfortunately though I missed the 30-minute 'extra' after the credits rolled. :(

You didn't miss a lot... it was mostly re-used footage from the movie. The only cool part was the director explaining how they filmed the AG athletes during the marathon. Basically, every AG runner had a pace-runner with them who held a big yellow sign with their name on it so that the camera crews on the sidelines could find them. They also had a camera man on a bicycle-taxi type thing in front of them the whole time. The elites just had an extra cameraman on them that joined the motorcade.

There was also some footage of Deena Kastor cooking avocado enchiladas.
