My hands are always cold. I love running and run all year round in cold chicago. But i have yet to find the right pair of gloves. I have tried so many that are supposed to wick away moisture, but they work for about a 6 mile run or so and then my hands get sweaty and cold! So cold! Ive tried layering, ive tried mittens. I have even tried big fat ski gloves, which make me super hot and then sweaty and cold! Before i waste anymore time and money, can someone tell me where i can find a decent pair of gloves? I have a 50k this weekend and I need something that will keep me warm for a long time.

i have experienced the same

i am now using nashbar lobster winter gloves

work pretty good here in chicago when temperature around 18 but only use for a bout 20min in my commute each way

you can layer if you buy outer goloves larege enough to allow circluation

When it gets cold up here in Canada, I have found that using those little stretchy gloves that you can never seem to find the pair worked well. The sweat seem to wick away and if your fingures do get a little cold they are breathable enough that you can blow on your hands. Best of all they usually only cost about $2 or $3.

I have seen a long sleeve shirt that you could wrap around your hands when cold. I have been looking for itbut I am unable to find it online. Maybe someone has seen or heard of this and could give me a brand name any help would be great.

Thanks for your help. I had the race and it ended up not being too cold so I was okay. I just wore a pair for the first loop (10.8 miles) and then switched them for the second loop. And then i carried a pair of mittens to wear over the gloves for when i got really cold. It seemed to work, although i wish there was just one awesome glove that i could wear through out the whole race.

Iknow I'm a little late for your race but for future ideas try some kayak gloves. Here is a link for a pair

Kayak gloves are waterproof, wind proof and usually insulated. Great for cycling in the north
