Goofy Challenge
Great job Anton.
Congrats to you and your wife on her 15 minute PR. Sounds like you had a great time and were able to deal with the humidity.
Nice race report. Congrats on another successful Goofy Challenge.
Sorry I missed it this year.
How was it not hearing me ramble for hours on end?
Well, Scott...Ever notice that you always run on my left side? I'm sorta deaf in my left ear. (Too many years of Jimi at Volume 11) So your rambling never really bothered me! ;)

I love your attitude towards all of it. Congrats to you and ML :)
Teehee...the gals from Tampa loved the weather. Priceless. I recall it being a hot, sweaty weekend....albeit "cooler" than our summer heat and humidty. Sorry about the less than perfect weather, my friend. I'm sure you were hoping for a less humid run...but as you said, it is what it is, and you "carried the bear" well. What kind of costume did YOU wear anyway??? Well CONGRATS to you and ML...hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in the sunshine state :)

No costume or kilt this year. Too warm. How many races do ya go to where the weather is perfect?
Thanks!

That is amazing!!
The first year it was open until August.
The second year i think it was open until June or July.
The first year most runners thought "no way"!
The second year it caught on.
This year I think it's getting around that as challenges go, it's not that hard.
This year, as always, the cap at 3,000. 2,736 Goofy Finishers. I met "Goofies" who had no idea what they were doing but thought "I'm walking the half. I'm sure I'll be able to walk the Marathon too"! (That's a quote.)

The first year I said 'why not?' it is an unknown challenge.
The second year kilts were involved ;-)
Time for a new challenge.
Thanks for the kick in the butt Anton,
I guess a 50 miler really was only a few more miles.

My race report on "The Goofy" is up on my Blog.
