12/10 Training
I swam a mile and some old guy at the pool told me that my breast stroke is faster than my crawl. :( I need swim lessons badly apparently.
After, i lifted and did some ab work.

Had great intentions of making the entire lunchtime spin class, but holiday shoppers all seemed to have the same idea about the lunch-time hour and we all sat there crawling down the freeway.
I was only 15 minutes late tho. Finished the spin workout changed out of my bike shoes and headed over to the treadmill for about 10 minutes of simulated bike to run transition. Today was a mini-brick. After that, added some light strength training with focus on paddling strength.
Basically I was all over the workout map, but the end result was that my day is back on track, and I'm feeling really good.
Happy training
Tapering for a 10 mile run race Sunday. I rode 45 min's on my rollers just to say I worked out...keeps my day in order too.
Oh yeah, I'm doing 12 ounce arm lifts right now, does that count for anything, lol.
Just lifted today. For the first time in a while... I don't like lifting, but I guess its important especially for women, and the pt told me to so I'd increase bone density while I can. So I guess those outweigh my not liking it. I'll switch to plyos once I get orthotics and stress fractures are completely healed and collegiate bike racing begins.
How come the young guys, the ones who lifting will benefit their performance the least, like lifting the best? Its soo embarassing to ask them to take their 100 lbs off the leg press for you.
They are probably doing it so you'll come over and talk to them :p
ha ha i wish....
thanks, ted
I actually love lifting. I feel like you get the most bang for your buck. You can lift for like half an hour and it speeds up your metabolism all day. Plus i love when my muscles look all toned.

Worked 14 hours again today. (Just another day in IRAQ) but, I did lift and work my abs for an hour and then hit the bike machine for and treadmil for 30 minutes. Looking forward to start training in a pool......really dont trust the water here in Baghdad. :)

Today is my day off class (only two exams to go, YAY) so I went for a nice easy (freezing) bike ride this morning. 22 miles.
After i get back from work i've got some arrows to shoot so I can start getting ready for my indoor collegiate archery season this spring.
