I went for a nice 3 mile run this morning before my Econ final. That and my usual 12 mile ride to school. Kind of a slow day, but finals will be over next tuesday.

I've got a long ride planned for my day off tomorrow, so that should be an easy 3 hours or so.

Too dark to ride after work, so I rode an hour and a half on my rollers watching Seinfeld re-runs...sweat like a pig.

Skies cleared up today for a while so I decided to go for a hike. About 8 miles/2 hours. Good to be out of the house.

8 mile run, medium pace.

I just set up my new trainer today, so i tested that out for about a half hour. It seems much harder than riding outside.

Yeah the trainer gets old real quick..

I tried to study while i rode.. but i sweat all over my books..

So now I just ride like 45 minutes, and I alternate the resistance setting every two minutes while I watch TV. That's the only way I can keep my interest up.

45 minute spinning class during lunch. Lots of "climbing" intervals today.

Weather in KC on Thursday was awesome for December 9th. 55 degrees.

So got a 45 minute easy run in. Tired legs from the spin class but otherwise felt pretty good.

I find mixing it up too helps with the boredom.

Spinning on your trainer need not last as long as a typical outdoor ride since you are pushing non-stop on the trainer. I equate a 45 minute indoor spin with a 60 minute outdoor ride or about 75% the normal ride time. Works for me!
