We used to post what we had done for training every day a while ago, and that was encouraging so I decided to try and get that going again :D . Reply with your training for the day, whatever it may be.

Between studying for my econ final that's tomorrow i went out for a 2 hour 15 minute ride. It ended up being 36 miles exactly. The weather was perfect.. about 60 degrees and sunny.. Nice arizona winter weather.

thanks for starting this up again ted. great ride, sounds fun. It's been snowing and raining here in Oregon for the last 3 days so no outdoor activities. Did some strength/weight training this afternoon and will try to get on the trainer later.

I have a local 10 mile run race this Sunday that I am taking very seriously. So I am tapering for this race. I ran 6 miles tonite at a very easy pace and kept my heart rate in the 60% zone, which is difficult for me because I love to run and cycle fast.

Thanks for starting this tread. It is, and will be motivational to me and others to read how others train, especially during the so called off season.

Ahh the daily workout post!! maybe we could have a thread simply called "How was your workout today?"

Well today I was able to hit the Santa Clara Community pool. My pool at work isn't heated well during the winter so I have to cruise over and pay a $1.75 for a lunchtime hour-long swim. Not bad. Today was cool because they opened the lanes for the long course (50yd lengths).

Cranked out 2400 today. Sky was cloudy so we got rained on, but it's a neat feeling to be in water with water hitting you from the sky. :)

Happy training!

That does sound like good motivation, especially for the cold winter...

5,000 swim... easy pace, picked it up a bit last 500 to show those guys who's faster, took 1:20
Two big guys were swimming on either side of me doing butterfly and sprints, so I had waves, just like in a tri...

got fitted for running orthotics... hopefully I will be able to run soon enough. Now they think that I have had multiple recurring stress fractures in my shins, which is pretty serious. I'm so glad I'm a triathlete and not a pure runner.
