i am looking to purchase a new pair the this season and would like to get some input from yall as to what you like. i only have used sugoi, and have been happy but not thrilled with their shorts.

i am looking for a short that has a decent length inseam, and enough padding for a HIM, to it because i have long legs and i am not much a fan of the "short shorts"

any suggestions?

Desoto Forza - Good shorts, pockets, excellent customer service.

Desoto makes great stuff, has great customer service, and can even often customize stuff if you if you need even more length, or grippers where there aren't any, etc. Definitely recommend them.

I've also been happy with my PearlIzumi tri shorts.

I am in the same boat as you with the longer legs. I have been using Orca brand stuff with the longer inseams. I have been happy with it, but they are the only tri shorts I have tried. I am a little over 6'4" and have fairly long legs and the shorts hit me about and inch or two above the top of the knee. It is definitely a lot better look for me than the ones with the 4" inseam.

I have never tried Desoto tri shorts but I have a few other things from them and everything I have gotten is top notch. There customer service is also the best. I would imagine that their tri shorts would be pretty good based off of the quality of everything else of theirs I have tried.

Another vote for DeSoto. I have short legs and they are very comfortable. They come down about 2 inches above the knee and the end is a tiny bit loose which adds to the comfort. I don't like the feeling of my hamstrings and quads being strangled by the elastic, which was a problem for me with some other brands.

My racing shorts are Pearl Izumis. I like the spandex and padding a lot more than Desoto. I have two par of Desoto for training, picked em up on sale for $10 each! The Desotos feature a thin piece of fleece as their padding, it doesnt do much for me when riding out there on the nose of my saddle. I also feel the Pearl's dry out faster.

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

I like the Zoot trishorts I race in....very comfy. I also like Desoto. I prefer shorts that do not have the "rubber" leg grippers.
