I made the ZOOT Elite Triathlon Team!
Congratulations Bryan! Very cool.
Congrats! Now you have more of a reason to train even harder this year!
Oh, do you think you can convince them that you need to buy two sets of wheels....one of which needs to be shipped to Florida?

Contrats.

That sounds awesome!
Thanks everyone. :) Kylie, I had a fairly unambitious race schedule, but maybe I need to adjust that. I am running the Boston Marathon in April, Vineman 70.3 at the end of July where I will hopefully qualify for Clearwater in Nov. In between I will do some Olympics around here. They want me to do at least 6-7 races, so that should be pretty easy.

Of course it's 'effing hard, it's IRONMAN!
Congrats!
Way to go!
Congrats! I applied, and they told me that Canadians weren't allowed> Bah!!!
Great job!
Nothing like cheap gear!
Nice work Bryan,
I have a friend on that team from Tulsa. Last year they rode Orbeas. I hope she doesn't have to get another bike this year.
I might go to Vineman and see you there. I am on Team Trisports.com. We are wearing Zoot stuff too. Vineman is one of the races on our schedule.
I would bypass the Clearwater race though. It's a draftfest and the with so many cyclists in one lane there is no way to avoid drafting. You will be dissapointed because it will take out your cycling talent.
Oh, hey Rob! I have been watching your blog waiting for you to go to Epic Camp! So sorry about all the storm damage you guys had.
Yes, Clearwater is a cluster f@#k, but I just want to go once so that I can say I have been to both World Championships. Hope you guys make it out to Vineman, it would be great to see you again!

Hey! Me too! What required race are you doing? I'm doing St. Anthony's. It didn't look like there was anything close to Tulsa.
EDIT: ok just kidding....now I read your whole post...LOL! Enjoy Vineman!

Matt,
Cool, Team Trisports. com.
I am going to St. Anthony's too. Do you need a roommate to share hotel costs. I haven't got a place yet.
Other races I'm doing are Alcatraz,Buffalo Springs, possibly Vineman, the Oly Nationals in Portland, and Half Max Championships. I'm burned out on Ironman Hell, there aren't any races in Tulsa. All my racing require travel.
Bryan, I'll update you on epic camp. I am tapering for it now after my 3 week build......Ha. I'm gonna suffer.
I just signed up for Alcatraz this morning. I'll let you and triguy fight over who gets to share a room with me in San Fran! :D Guess I need to start some hill training! BTW....should I plan on bringing a road bike or a tri bike?
For St. Anthony's I might be staying at my girlfriend's house (if she hasn't gotten sick of triathlons and dumped me by then!) since it's only 20 minutes from the race site. They've gotten used to triathletes crashing there the night before a race since we've started dating, though, so you might not need a hotel at all!
If the Navy doesn't have a hold of me yet, I might do Halfmax.

Awesome job guys. Think I may go out and either volunteer or just be a spectator at Vineman this year not sure yet. Either way congrats all that hard work and training really paid off I can see!

I applied last month for Zoot's Elite Team, which consists of 12 pro and 25 amatuer triathletes for 2008 and was picked! I am very excited, especially for all the sweet gear. I can buy a Zenith wetsuit for $130! Scott Plasma's are the bikes but I am not sure how that deal works yet but I can get Zipp wheels 20% below wholesale! Either way, looks like I will be racing in Zoot this year. Very excited!
