Tired....
Chris,
I currently work 8p-8a and would have it no other way. I did the day shift thing and found I was have to wake up at the ass crack of dawn to put in some miles and then even sometimes at night. Sometimes I would be too tired to workout after work to even workout.
On the flip side I can say your body will adapt to the changes. Your body is an amazing machine. Give it time and treat it well and you will adapt.
Hope you can put the miles in during the winter season.
Happy Training,

I made the same change you are talking about, almost 2 years ago. It hung with me for a while.
I just couldn't get my body into "normal people" mode. It was really bad.
But it slowly happened. I had been on night hours for about 5 years though.
Thanks for the inspiring words :) I just need to go to bed earlier, but it is slowly happening...

Its as if you've taken a flight to Australia and are switching 12 time zones (been there, done that - a lot!). They say that your body can adjust 1 hour every day.
I wa sin Iraq for a whole year...pretty much an 11 hour time difference to california.

I have been working graveyards, 1015pm-815am, for the past year and a half, and now I am on dayshift. I know I love the day time, but the fatigue of going through a transition from staying up all night to staying up all day (instead of sleeping) is really taking a toll on me.
I know in the end my body will thank me for being a part of the living again (those who sleep at night and work during the day).
I am hoping that the end result will mean more workouts, rides, and more energy. Only time will tell. How many people are in the same type of boat I am?
