Does anyone else use one of these? This is a really strong trainer. Any feedback is appreciated.

Yes, this will be the 3rd winter using that trainer. Haven't have any problems. I recommend putting on a cheap tire if you plan to use it a lot.

Works Great. I've had mine 3yrs as well. I bought and extra wheel and put the Conti bike trainer(Orange in color) tire on it. It's supposed to stick better.

I use one too. Love it. I use the Cyclops front riser block with it as well as the Conti orange tire (which is 5 kinds of a pain to mount but seems to last forever).

The only thing I ever had go wrong was when the tension knob hardware stripped. I called Kurt and they mailed me a new knob & bolt, no questions asked, within a few days.

This will be my fifth winter with the Kinetic, and it runs just as smoothly as the day I got it. It's quiet compared to other trainers, but make to mistake, trainers are noisy. You will have to turn the TV way up if you plan to hear anything. I've also used a CycleOps wind trainer, which is also very good, but sounds like a tornado.

I do not hesitate to recommend the Kurt Kinetic, it provides smooth, progressive resistance, a stable platform, and an easy way to keep in shape during the cold months.

Well so far I like the trainer alot. I'm going to have to buy a new trainer tire though. It squeeks a little at a cadence of 95 or more. I dont notice it slipping but its an annoying squeek. It's also painting the tire silver which I've used 2 other trainers and neither of them did that.

I just got one for Christmas this year. Only two rides on it so far, but it works great!

Would you guys recommend buying the mag trainer or the fluid trainer? I'm torn because i've heard that the mag is loud but the fluid can leak.....

fluid, definitely

i wouldn't worry about leakage with a new fluid (cyclops or kinetic), they're pretty reliable now. i think that was an old problem that they've gotten over. and i hear the service/warrantee efforts are top notch with both those companies if, for some reason, you do get a lemon
