Phoenix, AZ Bike Routes
You can always go up the Bee Line-its gradual up-hill which leads into Fountain Hills (plenty of climbing). The road is not the best but theres a wide shoulder. Can also go up Pima and there are quite a few places where you can get some extra mileage-lots of traffic so best to ride w/ someone. There are several group rides that leave from TRIBE Mulitsport, Bicycle Haus and Bicycle Ranch on the weekends.
It helps that you were specific about your location within Phoenix!
When I was living there I'd ride a lot up north. I had a good two hour loop up Cave Creek road and down Pima. There are all sorts of options up around Cave Creek and Care Free. You can head down into Bartlett lake or up to the Towers/out towards Seven Springs.
The group the rides from Bicycle Ranch (Nth Scottsdale) tends to head north around these parts.
Alas, I'm now in Colorado with feet of snow on the ground. My bike won't be seeing the road for some time. :(
Well im in more northern Phoenix Cave Creek and Cactus Rd but I really don't mind driving to get to a good bike route

I lived not far from Cactus and Cave Creek. But when I did most of my riding I was around 32nd street and Union Hills. Small world!

Hey didn't see the regional threads anymore so guess this can go here. I'll be back in Phoenix over the Holidays and was looking for some good bike routes. While I was born and raised there I moved away long before I thought about doing triathlons so my knowledge or training resources there is pretty limited. Mostly I'm looking for at least one or two routes where I could 2-3 hours somewhat easily (HR zone 1-2 avg), a place to do some hill climb repeats, and any other favorites. Thanks!
Chris
