I put some pedals on my Bianchi Pista for the first time in a long time the other day for a 2 hour ride. Know what that means? Winter is officially here! It was a little chilly for my ride....dipped below 70 for a while at the beginning. I forgot how much fixed-gear riding hurts the next day! I didn't even go hard at all. Anyone else ride fixie for the off-season?

Winter? You're not serious, are you? Riding a fixie in 70 degrees is your winter? Oh I feel so sorry for you. (good natured warm weather, fixie rider bashing )
I'd love a fixie, but have to draw the line on spending somewhere...
Enjoy!

Grrrr.... We got 6'' of snow last night and its in the 20s. And I have finals next week, so training isn't exactly happening. I don't have a fixie, but I'd like to get one at some point. My roadie turned into a fixie for a few weeks 2 years ago when I crashed and broke off the derailler hanger and my rear hub jammed... that was interesting.

Fixie’s aren’t expensive…mine cost all of $250. I actually enjoy riding it just as much as my high-end road bike. Extremely simplistic yet challenging at the same time. I try to ride it consistently throughout the year.

It was 55 this morning! Down right chilly! You ride your fixie, I'm on my MTB. And you make fun of MTBers- you FIXIE rider! What a dork! ;)

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

I'm not that kind of fixie rider. I buy deodorant, my iTunes has happy music, and I don't own Vans slip-ons.
