Dang it, I caught a cold. Been dry as heck here in the south and one cool morning while I'm working on my barn - it rains. Of course I have to finish. Shirt soaking wet. Run a 4 miler the next day and now I got a cold.

I was building back some consistency in my run too!
I hate to stop everything but guess I should...No I'm not, I'm going to spin a little but not get too tired.

Bad idea ? Good idea ? Any idea ?

Thanks!

Is it possible to make this a rest week? Hopefully you don't have a race coming up soon in which case it should be easy to adjust your schedule even if this was normally a build week.

just back off a little in intensity and treat it like a recovery week and see if it's just a cold...if it's "just a cold" then keep at your regular schedule...if it turns into "something more" then a rest may be needed...

I had a fun local 5K planned for Saturday that I was planning on a certain pace.
I think I'm going to give that up as I don't want to push and relapse. It sounds like a fun race starts at 5:30 PM and goes through a neighborhood known for their Christmas Decorations hence the name "Christmas Tree Lane Run".

I think I will just do light spinning for a few more days and lots of rest (sleep) and monitor symptoms.

Thanks for the advise.
