The Weather Outside is Cold

Get used to bundling up for the cold.

Forecasters say this will be the coldest winter in almost 15 years.

Environment Canada's senior climatologist David Phillips says it will be like the winters many Canadians
remember when they were kids.
He says over the last few years, we've enjoyed many warmer than normal winters, but that's about to
change.

And, along with the frigid temperatures -- there will be more snow than usual.

What's your local winter forecast supposed to be?

winter? ;)

Oh it is raining today! Real rain, the kind that actually gets your clothes wet if you walk to your car in it, as opposed to the usual Southern California misting rain. It is only supposed to last today though.

Forecast for snow and freezing rain on Sunday. I don't mind a snowstorm, but the snow rain mixes we usually get can be depressing after a while.

We have had some mild winters lately. The last real bad winter that I can remember was in 96. I haven't heard the local meteorologist make any predictions about the winter yet.

I can't complain. I begged for good weather up to IMFLA and I got it!

I am actually looking forward to getting out XC skiing and running on the lake. Crazy good workout.

The funny thing is our lake has frozen over 2 full months before it did last year!

Oh yeah, and I am going to florida for a couple of weeks over xmas anyways.

When you work with frogs, you better be prepared to get wet.

Same here on Saturday night - out by me calling for up to 6" snow - then switch over and another 1/2" of ice on top. Less if by the lake. My long run on Sunday should be interesting...

It's going to be cold and rainy for the next 4-5 months. Gotta love the Pacific Northwest.

Well snowbirds...I think its going to be around 80 and sunny today. What can I say? We can train here in the Sunshine State every day of the year! If you need some vitamin D, come on down ;)

28 and and a winter storm here right now. I started my long run on bare pavement and was running in about 2 to 3 inches of snow by the time I got home. The only really bad part was the snow stinging the eyes--I could have done without that.

Well, I was wrong about the glowing weather report of 25C - it was 26! :)

here's me and the kids on the beach where the swim was held.

edit: hmm, seems the attachment didn't show (although it did in the preview).

let's try this instead http://www.torchpublishing.com.au/beach.jpg
