Little ol' town called Brockvegas (Brockville) About 1.5 hours from Belleville.
Ottawa is going to be having their first IM triathlon in/around Labor Day weekend, along the canal - traffic free.
My training starts OCT 1/04. Am currently out with a nasty cold/cough :( so I thought some rest and relaxation would be good for the next few days.
I watched the 2004 IM Penticton race last night on TV. Inspriring!

Hey, You might have seen me in it - spectating. Did you tape it? I was at the hot corner in front of the Hogs Breath Coffee Shop downtown where the bikes careered around one way the runners came back and headed lakewards and returned a third time. I was the big guy in the red shirt with the white runner's cap, taking pix (which you can see below.) Maybe I should include one of me on my pix page?
I have a head cold this week too, oddly enough. It was that cold front that swept through Canada over the w/e I think.
An IM in Ottawa! Great! Best of luck with that. Will they finish in front of the Parliament buildings? You don't swim the Rideau canal do you?

Race is taking place around the Hog's Back area - Swim in Mooney's Bay, bike and run along the canal. They do a Half IM there already and it's quite nice, no traffic, lots of spectators etc. etc.
I will have to re-watch the IM Penticton tape to see if I spot you.

I'm Graham and I'm from Ottawa. My specialty (if you can call it that) is the bike, thought I am working hard on improving my run portion. Right now I'm focusing my training on duathlons. I have done some bike racing and am just looking to expand my competition a little bit. Once the weather gets a little nicer if anyone wants to meet up for some bike training let me know.

I'm from a smallish town in Eastern Ontario and have been doing Tri's for 5 years now.
Have signed up for my first Ironman in 2005! :eek: Am looking forward to it - for the most part!!
