The Atomic Duathlon and Sprint Triathlon returns in 2012! You now have an fall triathlon choice with a 500 meter swim added to the 30K Bike and 5K run courses. Enjoy the fall colors during either event. Wildlife abounds in this rural yet easily accessible area - beaver, deer, ground hogs, etc. Camping on-site and numerous hotels and restaurants within 5 miles in Lenoir City.

Triathlon - Swim in the cool, clear Melton Hill Lake. Water is expected to be wetsuit legal. Same bike and run courses are used in triathlon and duathlon.

The bike course is also an adjusted out and back on rural roads within Lenoir City and Roane Counties (Hwy. 95 & 58 and the Horizon Center). Terrain is a mix of hills and flats.

Parking will be in the lots by the Melton Hill camping area. Overflow parking will be at park rear entrance and at overlook. Lots are a short walk to the transition area. Additional details on packet pick-up will be available closer to event.

RACE LOCATION- The TVA Melton Hill Recreation Area is located outside Lenoir City, TN just off Hwy 321/95. The race site is about 30 miles West of Knoxville. From I-40 exit #364 towards Oak Ridge approximately 1/2 mile to park entrance on your RIGHT. The three large parking lots are 1.3 miles into the park on the LEFT before the dam hill. Camping on site is $14 night/ per site. Hot showers!
