This will be my first! I am scared cause dont do well in the heat even though i live in the
south! Good thing my coach and 4 other people are signed up so i have plenty of training
partners. If anybody has done this race please let me know about the heat. See ya all there!;)

I'm in also...did it last year and yes...its damn hot. Go into it knowing that and being prepared for it and its not an issue. It's a great race, well put on, and a great venue.

It can't be that hot in Louisville in August...I saw that it is usually in the 80's...I live in Texas and train all summer when it's 100+ degrees for over a month at a time...We'll see!! See you all there...

This will be my first IM as well. From what I was told it's not just the heat but also a very hilly ride.

This will be my first full, just completed Oschner 70.3 New Orleans where temperature was 85 with 80% humidity. It was nothing to what we can see here in Louisville in August. I have lived here my entire 46 years. Prepare for high heat index with very high humidity. Cant wait.

Did that race in '07 and '08-- wound up in the hospital overnight for dehydration in '08-- you need to drink like it is your job--- drink, drink, drink and when you don't think you can drink anymore-- take another drink! Good luck, all!

This was a great race 2009! The weather couldnt have been better high of 75 we def. lucked out! I did better then i expected felt great almost the whole race! Swim 1:33 Bike 6:29 run 4:19 overall 12:38:12
