This unique event is a fitting tribute to Graham Beasley, a fine athlete, husband, father and gentleman who left us too soon. Out of respect for Graham, all participants will participate in the Graham Beasley event, adhering to Graham's personal philosophy:
Compete hard, play fair and applaud and respect fellow participants
We offer an event for everyone. We have the Try a Tri for the beginner or recreational participant. the Super Sprint Triathlon for the speed people. The Olympic Distance Triathlon, and the Iron 113 Distance Tri or Du, with one of the most awesome bike rides you will find in Ontario, are for those who are slightly crazier. The Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon are also still there for those who are in between.
Look too, for the SwimCycle events - this race concept will be offered at the Sprint and Iron 113 distances, for those whose legs don't like running, or those who are preparing for a longer event and just want to test themselves.
The Graham Beasley swim is very popular because of the shallow clear water swim of the Mississippi River. If you are a bit leery about swimming in a group or in open water this one is for you - you can actually stand and rest if you need to!
