July 4th tradition in Gainesville, the Florida Track Club hosts the almost "World Famous" 30th Annual Melon Run, the final event of the 2007-2008 Grand Prix Series. The classic FTC logo/watermelon singlet is one of most popular T-shirts! The 3 Mile race starts at 8:00 AM. The Kid's Fun Run starts at 9:00 AM. This year we will once again have a unique course setup. Men and Women will run on the same course, but in opposite directions. Enjoy the somewhat rolling hills on the course and then enjoy free watermelon and refreshments after the race. Join or renew membership with the Florida Track Club now (FTC membership) to take advantage of discounted entry fees and to participate in the Grand Prix Series!
