The Iron Abe Triathlon (an intermediate course race) will start at 7:30 am on July 27, 2008 at Lake Springfield. Participants will swim .9 mile in the lake and then bike 24.8 miles on rolling prairie. Runners then embark on a 6.2 mile run.
The Iron Abe is a is national qualifier for the USAT national championships scheduled for September 2008 in Portland, OR, and a national qualifier for the USAT Junior Development Series for youths age 13-19.
