Note to self: Exit the water like a hero!

This past weekend I was checking a multisport website to see if registration had opened for a June Tri I want to compete in. While on that site I noticed that pictures were up from the previous year. Since this is an event that I participated in, I thought it might be fun to see if there were any pictures of me. Unfortunately there were.

back to training

here I am, another year, another dream. Like all new years I start with good wishes. I hope this year is different and to make my wishes come thru. I will try to keep up with my training, blog, work and life...in that order.

Chlorine & Water = my kryptonite

I started swimming and running again this week after a six month layoff and the pool is killing me.  I did my third swim of the week this morning and my whole body is sore now.  Welcome to Hurtlockerville population, me!

If I keep this up I'm going to be racing in the clydesdale devision next spring. Last night about 2AM I was awake watching 24 (season 5) and eating junk. Does anyone else do the midnight binge thing?

Last year I did one sprint triathlon in the early summer; it was an abortion. I thought I might actually die during the swim, my bike was less than impressive, and my run was an embarrassment.

Hopefully a Boston Trifuel team can get organized in mid January when everyone gets back from their holiday vacations. I want to start training on Jan. 15th for the AMICA IRONMAN RHODE ISLAND in July of 2009. Plus I'm on the search for a great personal trainer in Boston to help me with strength training and injury prevention throughout my six month training period.

Finding a triathlon club to train with in the Boston area

Does anyone know of any good clubs I could train with in the Boston area. I looked at the trimapper, but I didn't see any in the actual Metro Boston area. Maybe I am not searching properly. Any ideas would be great. Thanks. Gabrielle
