Reviewer's avatar Great Race, Awesome Post Race Spread 4 out of 5 stars

This race has a fast, fairly flat course, with a great post race buffet. The swim is held in a small lake, rumors persist about questionable water quality but I hear they test it before the race. It's a great venue for spectators, they can see the swimmers as they loop around the lake. The bike course is flat, with smooth pavement and one hill - no big deal and a nice change of pace when you hit it. The run is also fast and very flat. The mid portion isn't pretty, but the beginning and end circle the swim lake. The only negative marks are: no race day packet pick up; run miles 3-4 cicle sewage treatment ponds. Overall an excellent, fun race.

Great course and well managed. Some rolling hills on the bike but a great fast flat run. Can get hot out there so be prepared.

Price Paid: $90.00

Pros: Organization, Food, transitions, crowds

Cons: none that I can find

This will be my 4th year doing this race. Top people from all over California and the western region show up for this race. It's a great baseline indicator of where you stand in the field of tri's. Lot's of fun, fast, and for me, local!
