Description
The race is once again a qualifier for the Long Distance World Championship. The course is the same for both the first and second runs. The course is a true mix of flat, rolling hills, and a couple of good climbs. The run is a two-loop course primarily inside the Birmingham Race Course Campus, with a short section on the highway running adjacent to the campus. The 55k bike is also a two-loop course of rolling terrain and several challenging climbs on two four-lane roads with low or no traffic. USAT Triathlon Regional Duathlon Championship, ITU Duathlon Long Distance World Championship Qualifier.
